I am always on a quest to discover new products from all over the globe that work for people of colour. Currently testing the following products:
CLEANSE
First Cleanse
TATCHA PURE ONE STEP CAMEILLIA CLEANSING OIL (Skin renew cleansing oil)
It’s is a blend of rice bran oil, camellia oil, red algae and green tea. It lifts away impurities and makeup, including waterproof cosmetics.
Active ingredients:
RICE BRAN OIL
CAMEILLIA SEED OIL
ALGAE EXTRACT
GREEN TEA
GLYCERIN
Verdict
Tatcha camellia one step oil is the only cleansing oil I have used for over 5years. I alternate between this oil and Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing balm. Full review coming up on my next post.
SECOND CLEANSE
LOW PH GOOD MORNING GEL CLEANSER
Formulated with botanical skin purifying ingredients, mildly acidic cleanser works softly to make skin supple and clear (formulated for sensitive skin, morning cleanser)
Active ingredient:
TEA TREE LEAF OIL
JAPONICA BRANCH EXTRACT
NELUMBO NUCIFERA LEAF EXTRACT
EVENING PRIMROSE
BETAINE SALICYLATE
Verdict
I have been using this cleanser for only a week which is not long enough to form an opinion. A full review to come soon.
TONE
ALOE BHA SKIN TONER
It is a toner made with main ingredients aloe Vera, snail secretion filtrate and BHA (salicylic acid). It is made for all skin types including acne, sensitive and troubled skin. It is suppose to moisturize and calm skin damages caused by stress and pollution.
This contains 70% Birch SAP and exclusive moisturizing ingredients to help maintain water deeply on and under the skin.
Active Ingredients:
BIRCH SAP
GLYCERIN
DIMETHECONE SODIUM LACTATE LEMON PEEL OIL
ETHYLHEXYL GLYCERIN
Verdict
Great oil free moisturizer that can be used by most skin types. It leaves the skin hydrated without the greasy heavy feeling that other moisturizers leave. Two thumbs up. Details coming soon in future post.
TREATMENT
MASK
ULTIMATE NOURISHING RICE OVERNIGHT SPA MASK
Enriched with more than 65% of rice extract, this mask provides intensive nourishment with deep moisture and brightening.
THE ORDINARY (Vitamin c suspension 23%+ HA SPHERES 2 %)
Water free, silicone free, stable suspension. This is formulated with 23% l ascorbic acid and two percent HYLARONIC acid.

Verdict
I must admit this is not one of my favorite DECIEM skincare product. I have tested this product off and on since October 2016 and I find its too heavy for my skin. I am going to give it another shot before I finally throw in the towel so keep your eyes out for a detailed review.
DR JART + EVERY SUNDAY UV FLUID BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 30
A smart sun liquid gel that protects your skin. It’s is a double protector because it protects the skin from UV rays and dust. The gel formula changes to a water like texture for smooth, lightweight application.
