In 2014, I was pregnant and about to have my first child. I was nervous about what the skin on my abdominal area would look like after baby. I began my snatched back mission determined to give myself a fighting chance. I came across an interesting brand, DECEIM which literally just launched with just a couple products in their portfolio. The brand focus was providing authentic products in a beautiful and affordable manner.
Amongst these products was HAND CHEMISTRY HYALURONIC BODY GEL. I quickly purchased it among other products. When it came time to repurchase, I noticed that they had launched the body mist version and my trip to Nigeria for Christmas was fast approaching so I thought the spraying would be refreshing in the humidity; and it sure was.
When baby no 2. came along, it was a no-brainer I had to have it on my arsenal. It’s been 7 months, two bottles and no complaints. I will save the post baby routine for another post but for today I will just focus on the body mist.
WHAT IS HAND CHEMISTRY HYALURONIC BODY MIST?
It is hyaluronic acid that is formulated in a liquid form in an aerosol bottle. It provides instant hydration that will last as long as 72 hours after application. Your skin is supposed to feel soft, improves the texture of your skin, eliminate any tightness on the skin and because it’s formulated small molecular weight this would encourage effective delivery of active ingredient.
Active ingredients
Sodium hyaluronate - used as a humectant to increase moisture in skin. It may also serve as an emulsifier. Sodium hyaluronate is capable of binding 1,800 times its own weight in water.
Glycerin- it is a fantastic skin softener and humectant (retains moisture) as well as a very strong water binder
Saccharide isomerate – a humectant and skin conditioning agent
Ppg-26-buteth-26 – a skin conditioner, emulsifier and fragrance ingredient.

HOW TO USE IT
I use it every other day, after a shower. I would dry my skin followed by the spraying the body mist on my body. Since I have been using it for post pregnancy purposes, I focus more on my abdominal area
I also love using it after a good body scrub to enhance absorption and effectiveness.

HOW LONG DID I TEST THE PRODUCT?

CONCLUSION
Pro:
It gives my skin instant hydration.
The consistency is great. It is not sticky or slimy.
Because it’s an aerosol, it covers a large surface pretty quickly.
It serves as a good foundation for all my oils and creams that follow. Also acting as a vehicle for the Active ingredients to penetrate my skin better.

Cons
It runs out pretty fast! The hand chemistry hyaluronic acid gel last longer than the aerosol bottle. I wish it was a little bigger.
If breastfeeding, it’s probably better to get the gel that way you can control the direction and avoid the décolletage area better.
