One of my major concerns when it comes to eye treatment is my dark circles. Even if I know it is predominantly a genetic predisposition, it’s appearance worsens when I am sleep deprived, dehydrated or under the weather. Over the years, I have found that the use of eye creams has helped in reducing the appearance of my dark circles but so far none has completely eradicated it. One of the eye creams I have used on and off is Kiehl’s creamy eye treatment with avocado oil; so far it is one of the best eye cream have used but it fell short of making it into my Krème de la Krème list because of the cons listed below.
KIEHL’S CREAMY EYE TREATMENT with AVOCADO (CLAIM)
This eye cream gently moisturizes the eye area but does not move into the eye. It is dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested and it is a customer favorite because of its highly effective use of natural ingredients that provide hydration even to the sensitive eye.
SHEA BUTTER :it retires suppleness, increases moisture and can improve the appearance of irritated dry skin
AVOCADO OIL: it is a carrier oil, helping transport active substance into skin. It keeps the skin moisture and smooth.
BETA CAROTENE: an antioxidant. It has shown photo protection properties particularly when taken internally. It is found in fruit and vegetables that contains orange yellow pigmentation like carrots. Great for moisturizing dry skin.
HOW TO USE IT
Use in the AM and PM. Remove the transparent cap; pull out the circular top till you hear it pops open. Then you squeeze a small amount on under the lower lid of your eyes. Using the ball tip, massage it in gently. Then tap excess in with index finger till it is fully absorbed.
HOW LONG DID I TEST THE PRODUCT?
I have used this on and off for 3years
All skin types
This eye cream comes in a jar with a screw on cap. It is a very cute, portable size; easy to travel with and spill proof.
Yes, if I need a hydrating eye cream.
The eye can be a very sensitive area even it comes to using products so I am usually careful with my selection. The eye cream passes the sting test; it does not sting or irritate the eye area.
It is very hydrating for the eyes
Easy to use
One of my major concerns when it comes to my eye area is dark circles. This product didn’t improve the appearance of my dark circles but to be fair it never claimed it would.
The packaging is a downer for me. I would have preferred it in a squeezable tube like the Clinique pep start eyes cream or the very least sold with a spatula to scoop the product out to maintain fresheners.
Overall, I had a good experience with this product; better than I have any other eye cream I have used in the past. I would recommend along with a good diet, hydration and a good amount of sleep/rest in order to see great results. If you have tried this I would like to hear what you think. Leave a comment sharing your experience. Have a great weekend.
